Saturday the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns (9-2, 6-1 Sun Belt) take on the ULM Warhawks (5-6, 4-3) to close the regular season at Cajun Field.  A Louisiana win would set a new school record for wins in a season.  A ULM win makes them bowl eligible.

The Cajuns have won nine of the last eleven meetings between the two teams, but ULM has won two of the last three at Cajun Field.  Of the last eleven games, only two have been decided by ten points or more.

If the Cajuns are going to get win number ten, look for these things:

VALUE POSSESSION OF THE FOOTBALL--The Cajuns have done a great job at this in 2019.  Since turning it over four times in the season opener against Mississippi State, Louisiana has suffered only seven turnovers in the last ten games.  ULM will have a difficult time beating the Cajuns if the Cajuns don't help them with turnovers.

NO BIGGIES--ULM has a potentially explosive offense.  Josh Johnson has over 1,100 yards rushing and quarterback Caleb Evans has added 700 more.  Evans has also thrown for over 2,600 yards.  The Cajuns have to make sure the Warhawks earn everything they get.  Eliminating big plays by their offense is a great way to start.

MAKE EVANS ONE DIMENSIONAL--Well, this one is easier said than done.  But containing Evans and making him a pure passer would do the Cajuns well.  He's thrown nine interceptions on the season.  Keep him in the pocket and make him throw it.

RUN TMC--The Cajuns have thrown it early the last couple of games to loosen up the running game.  Regardless of which comes first, the ULM defense has allowed 252 yards rushing per game.  The Cajuns should have regular success on the ground...and plenty of depth to get it done.

DOMINATE THE KICKING GAME--The Cajuns have the advantage with their punter, their kicker, their kick return game and their punt return game.  There could be some big plays in the kicking game for the Cajuns.  They need to take advantage.
