An update to this story.

Sarah Robert embezzled nearly $200,000 from the Church Point Housing Authority and has been ordered to pay it all back. She was also sentenced to home confinement. She said that she had a gambling problem and pleaded guilty to the federal charge of embezzlement in March.

U.S. District Judge Richard Haik sentenced Robert to 11 months of home confinement and ordered her to pay $195,778 in restitution.

The Federal prosecutors involved with the case stated that she got the money out by writing checks to individuals and companies to pay for fabricated invoices and then forging signatures on the checks.

Robert served as director from 2002 to 2011.
