A former first-round draft choice of the New Orleans Saints has a new NFL home.

The New York Jets will sign linebacker Stephone Anthony.

The Saints selected Anthony in the opening round of the 2015 NFL Draft, after a standout career at Clemson.

As a rookie, Anthony was fairly solid for the Saints, starting all 16 games, while compiling 112 tackles at middle linebacker.

Since then, however, things haven't gone according to plan.

In 2016, the Saints moved Anthony to strongside linebacker, where he started 3 games, totaling 16 stops.

The Saints traded Anthony to the Miami Dolphins in 2017, where he played sparingly the last two seasons.

Last season, the 6-foot-3, 245-pound Anthony recorded just 7 tackles over 16 games.

The 27-year old Anthony signed with the Atlanta Falcons in July but was released last weekend.
