FOX News Channel announced to its staff today that daytime host and former White House correspondent Ed Henry has been fired after an investigation into sexual harassment claims made against him. According to a statement, the complaint came from a former FOX News staffer and the harassment happened 'years ago'.

In an email to FOX News employees, CEO Suzanne Scott said:

"On Thursday, June 25, we received a complaint about Ed Henry from a former employee's attorney involving willful sexual misconduct in the workplace years ago."

The former White House Chief Correspondent was removed from his on-air responsibilities on June 25th, the day the complaint was received. The network said other anchors will fill-in until a permanent replacement is named.

A report by CNN Business:

"Fox News Media strictly prohibits all forms of sexual harassment, misconduct, and discrimination," Scott and Wallace said. "We will continue striving to maintain a safe and inclusive workplace for all employees."
