Friday School Closures
Public schools will be closed tomorrow in the following parishes: St. Martin, St. Mary, Evangeline, St. Landry, Jeff Davis, Lafayette, Acadia, and Vermilion Parishes.
(St. Martinville, La.)-After a meeting with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office, Office of Emergency Preparedness Staff, and a conference call with the National Weather Service, it was recommended that travel not occur until mid-morning on February 4, 2011. Therefore, due the possibility of ice on the roads it has been determined that all St. Martin Parish Schools and Administrative Officers, and St. Bernard School and Trinity Catholic will be closed on Friday, February 4, 2011.
Also, due to the weather, the Administrative Offices at the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office closed at noon today and will re-open on Monday, February 7, 2011.
