We're six months away from qualifying for the statewide elections this fall and there's no sign of a serious challenger to Governor Bobby Jindal. We're six months away from qualifying for this fall's statewide elections and a serious challenger to Governor Bobby Jindal has yet to come forward. LSU Mass Comm Professor Bob Mann was a top aide to former Governor Kathleen Blanco. Mann says the lack of a formidable opponent is unusual this close to the election. Mann says any opponent would have a problem running a campaign against an incumbent who has about 10 million dollars. Mann says with the election 6 months away there may not be enough time for someone to mount a serious race. He says anyone who would want to face Jindal would have to raise $1 million or more per month before the October primary.
