Harper Lee Releasing First Novel Since ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’
The woman who wrote 'To Kill a Mockingbird' will publish her second novel more than 50 years after the Pulitzer Prize-winning book was first released.
Harper Lee, who grew up in Monroeville, Alabama, wrote one of the great American novels in 1960 but hasn't written anything since.
Or at least that's what many believed.
According to the Associated Press, Lee had already completed 'Go Set a Watchman' in the 1950s but set it aside. The book is a follow-up to 'To Kill a Mockingbird' even though it was written first. Publisher Harper announced on Tuesday that Lee's second novel will be published in July.
More than 40 million copies of the the 88-year-old's first book have been sold and this new release should have another huge impact on American literature.
