Hospice of Acadiana is launching a new program aimed at providing peace of mind for people at the end of life's journey. 'Pet Peace of Mind' will provide in-home pet care for hospice clients including food for pets of low-income patients, veterinary appointments, funding for emergency pet boarding and temporary housing for pets if the hospice patient passes away.

Hospice of Acadiana is kicking off the 'Pet Peace of Mind' program with a pet donation drive this Saturday, July 25th from 8:00 am until 11:00 am at Hospice Headquarters at 2600 Johnston Street. 'Pet Peace of Mind' will be accepting pet food, kitty litter and chew toy donations.

If you'd like more information or would like to make a monetary donation call Angelle Pearce at 337-232-1234 or emailing pets@hospiceacadiana.com.
