Governor Bobby Jindal is on the road again. Mr. Jindal spent Wednesday in Dallas, attending two fundraising events for his 2011 re-election campaign. Houma state Rep. Damon Baldone is critical of the governor's frequent travel. Baldone sent an open letter for Jindal letter to a New York newspaper last week--while Jindal was fundraising in Manhattan. The letter implored him to come home and deal with state budget woes. Mr. Baldone says Mr. Jindal needs to communicate with state lawmakers more. Governor Jindal did meet Tuesday with a number of state lawmakers to discuss possible solutions to the $1.6-Billion revenue deficit for 2011. Baldone says he was not invited to that meeting. He feels the out-of-state trips are all about Jindal's ambitions to some day run for the White House.
