Louisiana City Is Named As One of the Dirtiest in the Nation
SHREVEPORT, LA – A new report confirms what local folks have been saying for years. Shreveport is dirty. I do know city leaders are taking action to clean up the community. But it’s going to take a lot of work and a change of mindset among some local residents who don’t think twice about tossing trash on our roadsides.
A new report from Lawnstarter has ranked the 200 largest cities in the nation for cleanliness.
How Were the Cities Scored?
Lawnstarter checked out public data for pollution, living conditions, infrastructure, and consumer satisfaction. They then put together weighted scores for each city.
What Are the top 10 dirtiest cities in America:
1 - Houston, TX
2 - Newark, NJ
3 - San Bernardino, CA
4 - Detroit, MI
5 - Jersey City, NJ
6 - Bakersfield, CA
7 - San Antonio, TX
8 - Fresno, CA
9 - Oklahoma City, OK
10 - Yonkers, NY
Shreveport checks in at #11 on this list. We are the only city in Louisiana to make the dirty list.
