From a Louisiana Dumpster to an Animal Rescue for Adoption

On June 3, investigators with the St. Landry Parish Government sent out a picture and video of someone they wanted to identify who put two puppies into a dumpster. The incident truly fired up the Acadiana area as the cruelty of the situation resonated with animal lovers.

The story is going to have a much better ending for the dogs named Guppy and Meno according to KATC.

A man walking by that dumpster later on heard some sounds coming from the dumpster and worried it was children. He found the puppies and the owner of the dumpster at Sebastian's West End Seafood was upset when the man told her what he found. She reported the incident to authorities and the investigation began.

Thankfully the man walking by pulled the puppies out of the dumpster and the owner of the seafood company reported what happened.

Two women, 22-year-old Jasmine Mouton and 22-year-old Kendall Tyler were taken into custody in connection with the case.

According to what St. Landry Parish investigator Spencer Cornette told KATC, Mouton was angry with the puppies after they had chewed on some cables.

Things are really looking up for Guppy and Meno now as they will be available for adoption soon. That was not the case when they were rescued though according to the founder of the Southern States Bully Animal Rescue, Haley Kazee.

They had to get the dogs back to better health after they determined the dogs had bacterial infections along with other medical issues, and
