Louisiana Mardi Gras Parade Canceled

(KTDY) - Some unfortunate news has come out about a South Louisiana Mardi Gras parade, it's been canceled.

So many people and so many communities wait all year for Mardi Gras, and when we have to announce a parade that isn't happening, it isn't fun to share the news.

However, due to the threat of severe weather this weekend, the Gueydan Mardi Gras run and parade set for Saturday has been canceled.

The Krewe has announced on its social media page that those who paid to be in the parade this weekend will be reimbursed.

Here's the unfortunate announcement that came out on social media.

While Acadiana awaits a severe winter storm later in the weekend, rain arrives Saturday, which seems to be the issue here. We hope to see you all having fun next year in Gueydan for Mardi Gras.
