St. Martin Parish Is Closing Schools on Friday for a Shocking Reason

Officials say the schools in St. Martin Parish will be closing this Friday. All schools will close except for Stephensville Elementary according to the St. Martin Parish School Board.

If you live in upper St. Martin Parish, officials say they will not be holding classes on Friday due to a shortage.

The shortage is the same kind of shortage that plenty of other parishes are experiencing. There just aren't enough bus drivers.

Here is what the system had to say,

Due to a shortage of bus drivers, St. Martin Parish schools, with the exception of Stephensville Elementary will be closed on Friday, May 19, 2023. Only students in lower St. Martin Parish will attend on this day. All employees report to work.
