Former Ragin’ Cajun Kevin Dotson Traded to Los Angeles Rams from Pittsburgh Steelers

A former Louisiana Ragin' Cajun and NFL offensive lineman has been traded.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have sent former fourth-round pick Kevin Dotson to the Los Angeles Rams, the team announced on Sunday.

The Steelers acquired the Rams' 2024 fourth-round pick and 2025 fifth-round selection, while the Rams get the Steelers' 2024 fifth-round pick and 2025 sixth-round selection.

Dotson was drafted in 2020 and has played his entire career in Pittsburgh. He is heading into the final season of his rookie contract.

After starting four games his rookie season, Dotson earned a full-time starting job in 2021 before an ankle injury in Week 10 shortened his season.

The Rams will owe him a base salary of $2.7 million this season and he will hit free agency next season.

Dotson started all 17 games for the Steelers at left guard last season, but this year he had been working with the second team in training camp.

The team did acquire former Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman Isaac Seumalo in free agency, and he bumped Dotson out of the starting lineup.

The Steelers also signed guard Nate Herbig and drafted tackle Broderick Jones and guard Spencer Anderson, as they continue to overhaul their offensive line.

The Rams hope Dotson can provide valuable depth along their offensive line.
