Riley Green Star Bags Trophy Buck in Louisiana
(KMDL-FM) Y'all, despite what you might think and what you might have heard to the contrary, they do walk among us. It's hard to believe, but it's true, right here in little ol' "middle of nowhere Louisiana," it is entirely possible and somewhat plausible that you could have an encounter with a major music star when you least expect it. Especially if you are a hunter who enjoys tracking and harvesting trophy deer.
I don't guess it is something most of us think about, but even our favorite singing superstars like to breakaway from their workday for a little time in the woods. In the case of Louisiana, many singers, actors, media figures, and even politicians flock to our state because we are the Sportsman's Paradise.

I know the folks around Gueydan and Kaplan can fill page after page on social media sites with their encounters with famous folks who have come down to the marshes to hunt ducks. The late Ray Price was a frequent visitor in those parts for the express reason.
What Celebrities Visit and Vacation in Louisiana?
Other stars come to visit in Louisiana just because it's peaceful. We weren't supposed to know this, but Grammy Award Winner Kacey Musgraves spent a few days in a rustic cabin in St Landry Parish last year. According to those who claim to know, Kacey was using the time to rest and recuperate from a recent tour, and she used the time to work on new music.
Another activity that attracts many famous folks to the woods and marshes of Louisiana is deer hunting. We know that Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean have swapped many a story about hunting success in Louisiana, but it wasn't one of those fellows that landed one of the biggest bucks that we've seen come out of the state in quite some time.

That honor goes to one of the hottest singers and performers in all of country music right now, his name is Riley Green. To say Riley's career has exploded in the past few months would be an understatement. He and fellow Alabama native Ella Langley have released two chart-topping duets and won several awards for their work together.
And Riley is now seeing similar success on his own solo projects as well. Plus, he is getting a lot of chinwag in the gossip rags about his alleged love interests. But we know the real reason Riley Green was in Louisiana.
If you take a look at that photo, you will see one incredible "get" as they like to say in hunting circles. And Riley has several more photos on his Facebook and Instagram sites as well.
Where Did Riley Green Kill His Trophy Deer in Louisiana?
Based on what we've been able to surmise, Riley got his trophy buck near Jonesville, Louisiana. We aren't sure exactly where he was hunting, and I am pretty sure he would appreciate us not telling you even if we knew. What we do know is that Riley Green is an incredible singer and a pretty good hunter as well. As our friends at Lafayette Shooters would say in a case like this, it's time to "cut da onions."
