Powerball Jackpot Rises – Louisiana Lottery Confirms $110,000 Win

Lottery players in Louisiana are certainly seeing more green than red this holiday season. That's because the Louisiana Lottery has confirmed a lot of cold hard green cash will be heading home with at least one lucky lottery player well ahead of Christmas Day.

The Louisiana Lottery and the Powerball game both held big money drawings last night and there were winners. We have confirmed one ticket sold for last night's drawings is worth $110,000 this morning.

By the time the balls were dropped from the hopper, the jackpot total for the Powerball game was set at $504,100,000. That's more than half of a billion dollars. Here are the numbers that were drawn.

You can confirm those numbers when you visit the official Powerball website. That site did confirm some big-money wins in last night's game. There were two Match 5 one million dollar winners sold in both New York and New Jersey. There were also two Match 5 winners who opted in on the Power Play. By rule, those tickets are worth 2 million dollars.

The Texas Lottery has confirmed that a $2 million winner was sold in Austin, Texas for last night's drawing. There was also a $50,000 winner sold in Texas. The Arkansas Lottery is confirming they sold a $2 million winner as well. However, the Arkansas Lottery site did not name a city or point of purchase.

Louisiana Lottery players didn't do well at all in Wednesday's Powerball game. The largest Powerball prize won by a Louisiana-sold ticket was only $200. There were five tickets sold in the state that earned that amount. And, there were 16 tickets sold in Louisiana that earned $100 in last night's game.

Louisiana Lottery Confirms $110,000 Winner in Easy 5 Game

The big money win for Wednesday in Louisiana came in the Louisiana Lottery's Easy 5 drawing. The official site of the Louisiana Lottery says the winning ticket was sold in Baton Rouge but there was no point of purchase listed as of this report.

The Easy 5 jackpot will now reset to $50,000 for Saturday's drawing. Meanwhile, Lotto from the Louisiana Lottery continues to grow its jackpot. The estimated top prize in that game on Saturday will be $1.575 million.  The Mega Millions game which produced two jackpot winners this past weekend will feature an estimated top prize of $28 million when they draw in that game on Friday night.
