LAFAYETTE, La. - The Silver Suitcase, a longtime Lafayette gift shop located in the Super Target shopping center on the corner of Ambassador Caffery and Kaliste Saloom Road, will be closing.
Owners Make Announcement on Social Media of Closing
Owner Crystal Rogers took to Facebook to announce that after 18 years, the store will soon shut down. The post did not specify an exact closing date.
What The Silver Suitcase Is Known For
The Silver Suitcase has been known over the years as a gift shop that sells jewelry, candles, home decor, baby gifts, and local Acadiana exclusives.

The store originally opened in 2003 as a local jewelry and gift boutique. It became a popular destination known for its personalized customer service.

Store Expanded in 2021
In 2021, The Silver Suitcase expanded, doubling its size from 1,125 square feet to 2,250 square feet.
