Superior Grill Just Posted the Update That Lafayette Residents Have Been Waiting For
Ever since Superior Grill announced they would be opening a location in Lafayette, residents have been anticipating their opening.
It has been a little over a year since we learned that Superior Grill would be opening on the property that the old Randol's Restaurant called home for decades.
There was an enormous amount of initial excitement from fans of Superior Grill who were already familiar with their locations in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and even Alabama were thrilled to hear that Lafayette would be getting its very own location.
Not long after hearing the news that Superior Grill would be building in Lafayette, the restaurant shared a Developing Lafayette post that reported on the demolition of Randol's to make way for their new home in the Hub City.
But then months went by with no public updates as some began to wonder if the deal fell through.
There were a few posts from the Superior Grill Lafayette Facebook page that let their fans know that the Superior team was looking forward to getting the ball rolling just as much as they were.
But then, in the wee hours of Friday morning, Superior Grill Lafayette posted their first Facebook update in roughly five months—and to say it was the update that Lafayette residents have been waiting for would be an understatement.
The post was a photo of a building permit from Lafayette Consolidated Government giving Superior Grill the green light to start construction on their restaurant at 2320 Kaliste Saloom Road.
The permit was issued on Wednesday (Jan. 11) and Superior Grill's caption said everything we needed to know about their (near) future plans.

A little over a year after buying the property, Superior Grill is set to begin construction, and fans of the restaurant who woke up to the news couldn't have been more excited.
We'll keep you posted on updates as we look forward to food, fun, and—of course—margaritas at Superior Grill Lafayette.
