Lafayette Residents Invited to ‘Tip A Cop’ at Deano’s Pizza for a Great Cause
On Tuesday, May 7th, Lafayette locals have a unique opportunity to contribute to their community while enjoying a slice of their favorite pizza. The "Tip A Cop" event, hosted by the Lafayette Police Department, will take place at Deano’s Pizza, which has two convenient locations in Lafayette.
From 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., patrons can visit the 305 Bertrand Drive or 2312 Kaliste Saloom Road locations to participate in this special event. During these hours, Lafayette police officers will leave their traditional roles to serve pizzas and engage with the community as waitstaff. All tips collected by the officers will go directly to benefit local charitable organizations: Healing House and the Friends of Lafayette Police Mounted Patrol Unit.
Healing House, known for its commitment to helping grieving children, provides a compassionate environment where children can express their feelings of grief in a supportive setting. Meanwhile, the Friends of Lafayette Police Mounted Patrol Unit supports the department’s mounted patrol, enhancing their ability to serve and protect the community in unique and impactful ways.
This event offers a chance to enjoy Deano’s renowned pizza and meet the local officers in a friendly, relaxed setting. It's an evening where families can dine out for a cause, knowing their generous tips will help fund crucial community services.
Residents are encouraged to mark their calendars for this heartwarming event that combines good food, great company, and a chance to make a difference in the heart of Lafayette. Whether you’re a pizza aficionado or a local law enforcement and community services supporter, this is one evening you won’t want to miss.
