Jim Cantore Responds On Twitter After Louisianians Tell Him To ‘Stay Home’
Jim Cantore is NOT feeling the love from the boot state.
After catching wind of a tweet that showed the message "Jim Cantore, Stay Home!" on a sign overlooking the Pontchartrain Causeway in New Orleans, Jim Cantore tweeted back to Louisiana with one simple question.
All Louisiana eyes are on Hurricane Delta right now after the storm ramped up in strength in a very short amount of time—something Cantore also acknowledged on Twitter.
The joke for Jim Cantore to 'stay away' is something that people along the Gulf Coast (or anywhere that is regularly hit with severe weather activity) are more than familiar with, as he is seen as a Grim Reaper of sorts when it comes to these major storms. Basically, if Jim Cantore is in your town, things probably aren't looking too good.
It's something that Jim himself has even acknowledged.
It’s kind of weird the way the whole thing has grown where I’m kind of the Grim Reaper.
While Jim is playfully bantering with our home state of Louisiana, we will definitely be taking a serious look at Hurricane Delta over the next 24-48 hours as we make preparations for yet another named storm to hit our coast in 2020.
Let's hope we don't see Jim anytime soon.
