Members of the legislative black caucus are upset with the lack of diversity that Governor Bobby Jindal has shown with his recent appointments to state boards and commissions. Ruston Representative Rick Gallot says eight new appointments to Lousiana's higher education boards were white males. Governor Jindal is defending his diversity record and says he has appointed more women and minorities than the two previous administrations. Governor Jindal says he has an excellent record of diversity when making appointments to state positions.
