Jindal Pension Reform Plan May Not See Hearing Until After Easter
While the limelight has been on Governor Bobby Jindal's controversial education reform bills, his push to reform the state's retirement pension system has gone largely unnoticed.
In fact, it has gone so unnoticed that neither the Louisiana House nor the Senate have scheduled hearings to discuss the proposal.
House Speaker Chuck Kleckley says the pension proposals probably won't receive a hearing until some time after the Easter holiday. He says such a delay does not indicate the bills are dead for the session.
