If we're really being honest, the high school and college graduates of 2020 really got screwed because of the coromnavirus pandemic. No last minute goodbyes. No senior year shenanigans. No graduation. No graduation parties. I feel for them, because they will never, ever be able to get these moments back. High five to the class of 2020, just for keeping your chin up during this difficult time.

Well, the folks at Krispy Kreme obviously agree, and they want to do something really special for this year's graduating class. The popular doughnut shop, who have been around since 1937, recently offered health care workers a free dozen doughnuts just for showing their medical badges at US locations, and now, they want to give a sweet treat to grads.

On Tuesday, May 19th, Krispy Kreme is offering a free 'Graduate Dozen' to any high school or college grad who wears their cap and gown, or any graduation gear, to one of their participating US locations. The 'Graduate Dozen' consists of a yummy assortment of Chocolate Iced Kreme Filled, Strawberry Iced Kreme Filled, Cake Batter Filled, and six Yellow Iced Original glazed. They will also be labeled '2020' to celebrate your special grad.

The 'Graduate Dozen' will also be available from May 18 - May 24, and anyone can purchase those for friends or loved ones. But only 2020 graduates will be able to get the free dozen on Tuesday.

According to a press release sent out by Dave Skena, Chief Marketing Officer, “We feel for all of the high school and college seniors. We wish they had that moment of walking across the stage and getting their diploma. We can’t replace that … but we thought we could help them safely have a little fun and enjoy a special ‘Graduate Dozen’ on us."

Congrats to the Class of 2020, now go get your free doughnuts!
