Stabbing Suspect

(St. Martinville, La.)-On the evening of February 14, 2011, the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office received a call in regards to a stabbing that occurred at the Cash Magic Casino located on Mills Hwy. in Breaux Bridge. Deputies responded to the scene and located one individual with an apparent stab wound to the left abdomen. Acadian Ambulance Service responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital for medical treatment where they remain in stable condition.

 
Following an investigation into the incident, a suspect was identified as Michael Deon Davis, 48, who resides in the 1400 block of Willow Street in Lafayette. Davis was arrested and charged by Detectives with Aggravated Second Degree Battery after stabbing the victim in the stomach following an argument that ensued at the casino.
 
He was booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on the above-charges.
