A suspect returns to the scene where an alleged crime began and pays for it.

According to our news partners at KATC, 28-year-old Michael Elliot of Lafayette was at the Penthouse club in East Baton Rouge Parish on April 7 when he allegedly gave a ride to a person he eventually robbed. Authorities say he made his victim drive to an ATM inside a grocery store and pull out money under threat of a gun. The victim was able to tell store employees what was going on but Elliot was able to get away after arguing with him.

Investigators say Elliot went back to Penthouse a week later, but by that time workers there had surveillance photos of him. The police were called and he was placed into the East Baton Rouge Parish jail on charges of false imprisonment with a weapon, attempted armed robbery and aggravated kidnapping.
