Lafayette Man Shot Down by Police

A Lafayette police officer wound up shooting a man last night at a Carver Street home as he  threatened his spouse with a knife.  Johnny Reed suffered a gunshot wound to the hip area, was taken into custody and then transported to the hospital.  His wife was stabbed several times and is in stable condition.  The police department's Criminal Investigations Division and Internal Affairs Section are investigating.
