Lafayette Police are investigating multiple vehicle burglaries that involve the practice of jugging. This is when a victim withdraws money from a bank, then drives to a second location where the cash is then stolen from the vehicle, often by forced entry.

The first case was reported in March 2019 and most recently crimes began being reported in September. Customers of several Capitol One and Chase branches, as well customers of Gulf Coast Bank and Iberia Bank, have been robbed of money after making withdrawals at these locations in Lafayette.

Call Lafayette Police or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS if you have any information.
