Lafayette Teacher Cleared in Special Needs Abuse Case

47-year-old Nicole Landry has been cleared on a charge of felony cruelty to a juvenile.

According to our news partners at KATC, Landry was accused of kicking a special education student in the head during an alleged incident at J. Wallace James Elementary. But on Wednesday, the jury refused to indict the teacher on the charge.

At the time of her arrest, she was booked with simple battery.
