Lafayette firefighters were called to the 100 block of Connie Circle around this morning to a report of several vehicles on fire.

Upon arrival, two vehicles were burning in the parking area of Macon Street Housing Complex. Both vehicles sustained heavy fire damage.

After extinguishing the fires, fire officials determined the fires were intentionally set. Through the course of the investigation, officials learned a physical disturbance occurred in the area several hours prior. The suspect and the owner of the vehicles were involved in an altercation.

Fire investigators arrested, Marsha Constantine, 22, for allegedly setting the vehicles on fire. She was charged with Simple Arson and booked into Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.
