Lauren Daigle Prepares For National Championship Performance

Lafayette native Lauren Daigle will be performing the national anthem at the College Football Playoff National Championship Game in New Orleans.

That's according to a Daily Advertiser Report.

The singer confirmed the appearance on her Facebook page in November, Months before the LSU Tigers secured a spot in the national championship alongside Clemson.

Daigle has made an appearance on "American Idol" in 2012, and later left LSU to pursue a music career in Tennessee.

She has released three albums since 2015 and has won and been nominated for American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, GMA Dove Awards, and Grammy Awards.

She is currently on a world tour, expecting to make a stop at the Cajundome on July 18.
