One of the candidates challenging Bobby Jindal in the governor's race has picked up an endorsement. Haynesville schoolteacher Tara Hollis is getting backing from the Louisiana Association of Educators.

LAE President Joyce Haynes calls Hollis a quick study who will support ideas and changes to improve education in Louisiana. Haynes says Hollis would be a Governor with an open door who would be willing to listen to the people of the state instead of outside interest. She believes Hollis can draw enough votes to force a runoff. The primary is October 22nd.
