Louisiana is, at the time of this writing, dead last in the Deep South in responding to the 2020 Census.

Governor Edwards posted to social media today, asking Louisianians to take the time to fill out the 2020 Census, as an inaccurate count will short us of federal funds. The Census is also used to ensure proper representation in Congress.

Taking the 2020 Census took me LESS THAN 5 minutes, on my iPhone (if you tossed the Census information that was mailed to you, the process might take you 7 minutes).

The questions are generic enough and concentrate on the number of people living at each address. There are NO citizenship questions; they ask about age, sex, relationship, etc. They'll need your name, address, and phone number. It's fairly basic.

If you don't fill out the 2020 Census, it could hurt all of us when it comes time to receive federal funds.

Let's lead the pack for something good: filling out the 2020 Census.

Now, can you guess the 10 most common Cajun last names?
