The Lafayette Parish School board approved two resolutions that address LGBTQ students and bullying. Board member Erick Knezek proposed the resolutions after multiple conversations with families who have experienced this type of bullying. Both resolutions passed unanimously. In an interview with KPEL yesterday, Knezek said the new push to prevent bullying started after the Lafayette Consolidated Council voted down a resolution that would have recognized PRIDE month.
