Dr. Brian Salvatore, Democrat candidate for the Louisiana House of Representatives, talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright about why he's running, his campaign and a rally to be held Friday (July 26) night, featuring retired Army General Russell Honore.

Salvatore, who is challenging incumbent Republican Alan Seabaugh for the District 5 seat, tells KEEL listeners his ideas on how to improve the northwest Louisiana economy, his thoughts on Governor John Bel Edwards and his positions on increasing the minimum wage and state gas tax.

Salvatore, a Professor of Chemistry and Chair, Dept. of Chemistry and Physics at Louisiana State University in Shreveport, will be holding a rally Friday evening from 6 til 9 at Marilynn's Place on Fern Avenue. In addition to General Honore, speakers will include candidate for the State Senate Debbie Hollis, Caddo Parish Sheriff candidate Glenn Cornell and candidate for Caddo Parish District Attorney Patricia Gilley.
