NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Police in New Orleans say a man has died in a fiery car crash.

It happened Wednesday shortly after 10 p.m. in eastern New Orleans. Police said in a news release that the man lost control of his car, which struck two trees and two parked cars before catching fire. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

His identity was being withheld while relatives were notified. Blood alcohol tests were pending Thursday morning.
