Man Shot In Lafayette Over Stolen Battery

A stolen battery was at the heart of a shooting just before noon Wednesday says Lafayette Police.

LPD Spokesman Corporal Paul Mouton says it happened in the 200 block of East Clinton Street. The suspect, 18-year-old Karlon Woods Jr. of Lafayette, allegedly shot a 34-year-old male in the left leg over the stolen battery. Police say the victim has been treated for his non-life threatening injury.
