The New Orleans Saints defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Sunday 31-24 but it wasn't even really that close with Chris Godwin garnering a late touchdown.

The New Orleans offense was much better than it had been in the first couple of games with Teddy Bridgewater leading the way as he put up his first 300-yard passing game and also fired four touchdowns.

Michael Thomas was also his awesome self in this one as well as he racked up another 11 catches 182 yards and scored two touchdowns. Thomas leads the entire league in receptions (45) and yardage gained (543).

However, I wanted to show you just got good this defense was against Tampa Bay on Sunday and specifically how special CB Marshon Lattimore was.

As a whole, the defense was dominant. They sacked Jameis Winston six times, collected eight QB hits, eight tackles for loss, and six passes defended.

Marshon Lattimore was just special in this one though. A week after he limited Cowboys WR Amari Cooper to four catches and 40 yards he absolutely whipped Mike Evans out of the picture yesterday.

Here's how good Lattimore was yesterday according to NFL Next Gen Stats:

Absolutely incredible stats, it's not easy to erase an All-Pro type player like Mike Evans.

Here's what Brian Baldinger of the NFL Network had to say on his famous Twitter segment, Baldy's Breakdowns:
