Louisiana is off the hook for millions of dollars. With the Superdome selling its naming rights to Mercedes Benz in a ten-year deal, $20 million dollars in annual payments by the state to the New Orleans Saints is no longer necessary. Superdome Commission Chairman Ron Forman says that was one of the purposes of selling naming rights to the facility. Forman says a year-end audit will give the Saints and Dome officials a clearer picture of how much income the renovations and naming rights will bring in.
