Baseball players who want to enhance their performance in the bedroom need to be careful lest they test positive for a different kind of performance enhancing drug.

Major League Baseball has sent a memo to its players to refrain from taking over-the-counter sexual enhancers as they could lead to a positive drug test.

According to the memo, two players have been suspended after taking the pills.  The report says the use of supplements and sexual enhancement drugs is "prevalent" in Major League Baseball.  The story appears in Bleacher Report.

The memo says:

"We know from experience that a number of these sexual or male enhancement products—which are sold online, at retail stores, and on the black market, both in the United States and internationally—contain anabolic steroids and other prohibited substances.

"For this reason, we strongly urge players against taking any sexual or male enhancement product, from any source."

MLB says if a player is suffering from ED, he should consult his physician about prescriptions for substances that are not banned.
