Four  members  of  the  Acadiana  Legislative  Delegation  will  be part of a special event called “Money  Talks,”  presented  by  the  Greater  Lafayette  Chamber  of  Commerce.   Chamber President Rob Guidry says the panel  discussion  will  be  co‐hosted  by  the  Acadiana  Regional  Alliance.

Senator  Mike  Michot,  current  Chairman  of  the  Senate  Finance  Committee,  will be the  moderator for the event as the legislators will give a presentation  on  the  2012‐2013  state  budget.  House  of Representatives  Speaker  Pro  Tempore  Joel  Robideaux,  Senator‐elect  Page  Cortez and Representative  Rickey  Hardy will be on hand for discussion and question.   Both  Cortez  and  Hardy  currently  serve  on  the  House  Appropriations  Committee.

“Money  Talks”  will  be  held  at  Hilton  Lafayette  on  Pinhook,  Thursday  November  16,  2011  from  11:30  a.m.  to  1:30  p.m.   Doors  open  at  11:30  and  program  begins  at  Noon.   Admission  for  the  luncheon  is  $35  per  person  and  $250  for  a  reserved  table  of  eight.
