More Testing Needs To Be Done Before Oyster Season Begins
Oysters may take a bit more time to be on the menu. The State Department of Wildlife and Fisheries says the new season will be delayed. Their report stated that they need more time to collect samples for testing. The tests are a result of the BP oil spill. Delays are said to last until October 31st instead of October 17th, which was the originally scheduled date for the season to begin.
