Morgan City Man Alleged To Have Used Phone For Aggravated Battery

This is a crime you don't read about everyday.  St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office says a Morgan City man is facing an aggravated battery charge following a jail incident.

A St. Mary detective investigating the battery complaint from September, alleges that the 43-year-old hit another inmate in the face with telephone receiver in the jail.

The victim had a small cut on his face which was treated by medical staff, and Bob Seely remains in jail.
