There is a new individual at the helm of the Louisiana National GuardBrigadier General Glenn H. Curtis is now the new head of the Louisiana National Guard.

The ceremony commemorating the take over happened this weekend at Camp Beauregard in Pineville on Saturday.  There is now new leadership for the guard.  The ceremony also saw the retirement of Major General Bennett C. Landreneau after 42 years of military service.

In our state, the head of the Louisiana National Guard is always appointed by the Governor, and they head up all National Guard operations and training.  Curtis is from Buckeye and has nearly 30 years of military experience.
