Valentine's Day is a great day for lovers, but one New Iberia lawyer is getting lots of laughs for her unorthodox offer.

In case you missed it, yesterday we shared a Facebook post from the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office that offered a special Valentine's Day treat for anyone who wanted to turn in their ex for selling or buying drugs or for any outstanding warrants.

Later in the day, the Opelousas Police Department made a similar offer.

While those were both clever plays on the Valentine's holiday, one New Iberia lawyer saw an opportunity to give people what they may really want this Valentine's Day.

A post from the Law Office of Heather Duhon offered up a last-minute Valentine's Day idea for anyone looking to give their spouse the divorce they've always been wanting.

Let's be honest, love isn't perfect, and what better gift to give that special (at one point) person in your life than the freedom they desire?

Reactions poured in on Facebook with many people having a good laugh at the "last-minute offer" from Duhon. From "hot mess" to "savage," the feedback was all in good fun for the light-hearted Facebook post.

Even folks who weren't looking for a divorce agreed that this was definitely a lovable ad, but you have to imagine that someone may end up using the opportunity to give themselves or their significant other the happiness they have been looking for.

I'll definitely be checking in with Duhon after Valentine's Day to see if anyone took her up on the offer, but let's hope that people choose more love than divorce this February 14.
