There are plenty of new choices out on video this weekend

Eat Pray Love

Julia Roberts stars in the film adaptation Elizabeth Gilbert's best selling memoir "Eat Pray Love," now on video. Roberts plays Liz, a recently-divorced woman in her 30s who is searching for meaning. Liz's search takes her on a journey through the comforting cuisine of Italy, the prayer and meditation of India and the romance and natural beauty of Indonesia. Ryan Murphy directs. Javier Bardem, Billy Crudup, and Richard Jenkins also star.

Also available on Blu-Ray Disc, which adds the featurettes "Eat Pray Love: The Beginning of the Journey," "Finding Balance," "Praying in India." (Sony).

The Expendables

Sylvester Stallone wrote, directed, and starred the action-adventure "The Expendables," now available on video. The film centers on a group of world-worn mercenaries who take on one last mission. This time, however, it's for the greater good. Dolph Lundgren, Mickey Rourke, Jet Li, and Bruce Willis also star. Look for a cameo from the "governator" himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Flipped

Rob Reiner directs "Flipped," a look at young love. The nostalgic drama is now on video. Callan McAuliffe and Madeline Carroll as Bryce and Julianna, teens who've known each other since they were children when they finally fall in puppy love. Based on a book by Wendelin Van Draanen, Reiner set the drama in the 1950s because that's when his memories of being a teenager took place. Anthony Edwards, Penelope Ann Miller, and Rebecca De Mornay also star.

Extras include the featurette "Anatomy of a Near Kiss." Also available as a Blu-Ray/Combo Pack with digital copy. (Warner).

I'm Still Here

Actors Casey Affleck and Joaquin Phoenix's mockumentary "I'm Still Here" is new to video. The film follows the Oscar-nominated Phoenix following the announcement of his plans to abandon acting to pursue a hip-hop career. Sporting a unkempt beard and acting strangely, Phoenix sends up self-promotion and the concept of fame. Real-life hip-hop mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs appears in the film as himself.

Extras include commentary, deleted scenes, alternate ending outtakes, and more. (Magnolia Home Entertainment).

LENNONYC

"LENNONYC," a feature documentary about the late John Lennon's final years, is now on video. Michael Epstein directs this look at the music legend's life in Manhattan with his wife, Yoko Ono, and son, Sean Lennon. The piece also includes interviews with the engineers and musicians who worked with Lennon on his final recordings. The video release follows a screening of the film in New York's Central Park on Saturday, October 9th. The date marked what would have been Lennon's 70th birthday. PBS also debuted the film on November 22nd. (A&E Entertainment).

The Tudors: The Complete Series

The entire series "The Tudors" is available now on video. Jonathan Rhys Meyers stars as King Henry the Eighth in the acclaimed drama that takes an unflinching look at England's history. Natalie Dormer co-stars as Anne Boleyn. Marie Doyle Kennedy, Anita Briem, and Joss Stone also appear. "The Tudors" aired in the U.S. on Showtime from 2007 through 2010.

Extras include an interview with show creator Michael Hirst; the featurette "Reviving History;" a featurette on etiquette called "Royal Manners;" additional featurettes; an interactive poem; a blooper reel; and more. (CBS/Paramount).

Batman Beyond: The Complete Series

"Batman Beyond: The Complete Series" is on video this week. This animated series continues the Batman legacy as he fights the forces of evil in Gotham. The show features the voices of Will Friedle; Kevin Conroy; Stockard Channing; and Lauren Tom.
