Nicholls Student Arrested, Booked With Voyeurism
THIBODAUX, La. (AP) — Police say a Nicholls State University student was arrested after he admitted to photographing men in bathroom stalls.
Campus police arrested 19-year-old Zachary Cole Thursday on four counts of video voyeurism. He was taken to Lafourche Parish jail.
Nicholls State Police Chief Craig Jaccuzzo said police identified Cole after a victim told police officers that he caught Cole trying to photograph him in a bathroom stall using a cellphone.
Each count of video voyeurism, which is a felony, comes with a minimum prison sentence of two years and a maximum sentence of 10 years in addition to a $10,000 fine.
It was unclear whether Cole has an attorney.
