Northside High Principal Says His Contract Isn’t Lawfully Extended

The Northside High principal is suing the Lafayette Parish School Board to extend his contract. Principal Carlton Hardy is on medical leave but has served as the principal of the high school for ten years, but his contract will expire January 7th. Hardy's current year long contract extension has been approved by the school board, but Hardy argues that state law requires that it extends more than two years. He is suing to get the contract extended to January 2013.
