Officials say plans for Louisiana College's medical school are on track, but they're giving few details about the project.

Paul O. Umbach, who's with the Pittsburgh, Pa.-based consulting firm on the project, told The Town Talk he couldn't discuss specifics because individual donors are involved.

The school expects to welcome students in the 2013-2014 academic year.

Umbach says the school needs about $5 million over a three-year period in startup costs, under $20 million for renovations of the state- owned Huey P. Long Medical Center building in Pineville and about $20 million in annual operating costs.
