Opelousas Man Arrested in April Drive-by Shooting
21-year-old Antonio D'Anthony King, Jr. of Opelousas has been charged with two counts of Attempted First Degree Murder in the drive-by shooting that happened on April 9 on Park Avenue.
According to a press release from Opelousas Police, one of the victims suffered a hand injury in the shooting while the other victim was shot in the upper body. Fortunately, both victims were treated and have since been released from in-patient medical care. OPD spokesman Major Mark Guidry says the victims were shot while they sat in a vehicle in front of a home on Park Avenue.
In addition the the Attempted Murder charges, King faces a charge of Assault by drive-by shooting.
More arrests are expected as the investigation continues.
