Police Say Woman Lied About Sexual Assault
Scott Police say they were call out to the parking lot of a local bar early Wednesday morning after a woman claimed to have been sexually assaulted.
Twenty-three-year-old Kristi Ruest of Duson told police that much of the night was difficult to remember.
The person she was accusing of sexually assaulting her had a clear memory and evidence to back up his claims that he did not harm the woman.
Investigators interviewed Ruest again, and she confessed she made it all up. She also confessed to stealing the "alleged" assailant's wallet that was stacked full of cash.
Ruest was booked for Criminal Mischief and Felony Theft.
